What Is the Digital Nomad Visa?
It's a special visa that allows foreign remote workers to live in Costa Rica for up to one year, renewable for a second year. You work remotely for a foreign employer or your own foreign-registered company while enjoying life in paradise.
Requirements
- Income: Minimum $3,000 USD/month (or $5,000/month for families)
- Employment: Must work remotely for a company outside Costa Rica or own a foreign business
- Insurance: Must have health insurance covering your stay in Costa Rica
- No local employment: Cannot work for a Costa Rican employer
Application Process

The Catch: Maximum 2 Years
